Jackie's career has been built on a foundation of accounting, business operations, and hands-on experience serving small businesses. She began working in my family's excavating company, where she managed everything from accounts payable and receivable to payroll, human resources, job costing, and the day-to-day operations that keep a business running smoothly.
Over the years, she expanded her experience in public accounting, gaining valuable knowledge in tax preparation and financial management before launching her own bookkeeping and payroll services. Today, she continues serving small business clients while also supporting the Birchwood Construction team in a part-time role.
Beyond her professional work, she serves as Treasurer for the Petoskey Youth Soccer Association Board, where she is grateful for the opportunity to use her financial background to support local youth and families.
Outside the office, her life revolves around family. Her and her husband Ken have four children and six grandchildren who keep them busy and smiling. She loves cooking, gardening, crafting, and spending time with the people she loves most. During the summer, you'll often find her and Ken exploring Northern Michigan on his motorcycle, discovering new back roads and great local restaurants.
Jackie is most grateful for the family her and Ken have built together and the life they continue to create.
