TOM ADAMS | Chief Business Officer & Partner
Tom oversees the business operations. He is passionately committed to building the BCC Family as a means of serving the families whose homes we build. Tom and his wife, Jodi, have raised two sons that are their greatest pride. He is most grateful for watching his two sons turn into young men and the bond between them.

An avid golfer who can’t seem to find enough time to play as often as he would like, he loves Northern Michigan because of its natural beauty and sense of community.

What inspires Tom? "Making a difference in the lives of the people we serve."

KENNY PROVOST | Chief Building Officer & Partner
Kenny handles customer relations and sales within Birchwood, as well as guiding the field in the finished product. He is often taken aback by the folks he works with and proud of the Birchwood Family he's had a hand in assembling. Being married and a dad to four kids and grandpa to seven grandkids is the best part of his life! Flying and riding motorcycles bring him great joy and peace, and he hopes to pass along these two hobbies to his kids and grandkids one day.

Greatest adventure he's ever taken: Being shipped overseas to a land chosen for me, not by me.

RYAN FRISKE | Director of Operations
Ryan oversees all of the operations and the field which includes Carpenters, Project Managers, Estimator, and Shop. Ryan is also responsible for quality development for office operations and field. A fourth generation carpenter growing up building homes with his father, he was heavily involved in Building Trades at Petoskey High School. Ryan is a graduate of Michigan State University. He spent the first part of his career in commercial construction in Southeast Michigan. His favorite thing about Birchwood: "Birchwood's Family values are truly amazing and it's what drives us forward." Ryan is married to his wife Becky and they have two boys Dylan and Bradley. They love being back in Northern Michigan and enjoy hunting, fishing, mountain biking, boating, and skiing.
What did you want to be growing up? "An architect, but I quickly realized that was not a path for me."

What Ryan is grateful for: "My family. We're all healthy and happy living in northern Michigan - we love it here!"

TINA FELTON | Controller
Tina's career has always involved accounting, tax, and finance. She oversees the accounting for Birchwood. In Tina's words: "Birchwood is one of the most employee-focused businesses I have ever had the opportunity to work for. We are truly a family." Tina and her husband Mark, have four grown children. Together they enjoy traveling, boating, and spending time outside with friends and family.

What inspires Tina? "Listening to music and spending time with friends. You are who you surround yourself with."

BILL SEGUIN | Director of Solutions
As his title infers, Bill is responsible for not only creating solutions for challenges across our office operations, but also to drive efficiencies to the benefit of the company and our homeowners. He spent 25+ years working in Fortune 500 companies in a variety of sales, operations, and leadership roles, but bar none working at Birchwood Construction has been the most rewarding. It’s all about the people and the true family culture. And if you need a good dad joke, let him know. He's got a mental rolodex full!

What inspires Bill? "A competitive spirit to know that I or my "team" gave the best effort toward a goal."

JASON ZEIGLER | Estimator
As the Estimator for the company, Jason works in the pre-construction phase of gathering bids, site visits with subcontractors, and building out the project based on the blueprints and homeowner's vision. Prior to joining Birchwood, Jason worked as a finish carpenter for a custom builder in Columbus, Ohio. Jason shares "Birchwood is a wonderful place because of its strong emphasis on craftsmanship and relationships. As a lover of aesthetics, seeing the fine craftsmanship we provide in every home, from framing to finish, is great. Beyond that, Birchwood strives to develop strong, lasting relationships with our clients but also with the entire staff." Jason is married to his wife, Lyndee, whom he has known since 4th grade and they recently welcomed a daughter, Jovial. They live on the East side of the Northern Lower Peninsula and enjoy time outdoors hiking and sightseeing.

Favorite holiday: "Christmas! It's a time to celebrate the birth of our Savior and Redeemer. Nothing can top that for me. Plus, it is often celebrated with family time and great food!"

Best piece of advice: "Always remain teachable. We all have things to learn and grow in."

JACOB HUNT | Director of Sales & Marketing
As much as we are in the construction industry, our business is based on people. Our projects are a byproduct of the relationships we build and the friendships we maintain. Jacob's role is to identify and implement strategies based on opportunities to build our business. We monitor project plans to ensure that the sales targets are met, but ultimately our goal is our customers satisfaction. We perform data analysis to track business performance and identify opportunities to grow revenue and develop relationships. Furthermore, we maintain an understanding of industry trends for strategic planning and forecasting.
Jacob and his wife have been together for 10 years and have 3 boys Jaxon, Wyatt, and Noah. Originally from Charlevoix, he recently was able to move his family back home after spending the prior 8 years just outside of Lansing. His passions include coaching basketball, hunting, and camping with my family and friends.

JEREMY MASSEY | Project Manager
As a Project Manager, Jeremy oversees several projects, and meeting with homeowners to ensure their vision is carried throughout. His favorite part of the Birchwood Family is that everyone is unified to achieve the same goal! One of his favorite projects was customizing one-of-a-kind arch beams at a new build on Lake Charlevoix.
​
Jeremy resides in Northern Michigan and enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and his children. When he's not building cool sh*t, he enjoys cooking and 80's movies.

TREVOR COLE | Project Manager
Trevor is responsible for the management of many projects, from a treehouse to a new build on Torch Lake. His daily tasks consist of scheduling, cost management, safety, coordinating sub-contractors, and talking with homeowners to make sure their desires are met. Trevor developed a love for construction at a young age. He remembers building a birdhouse with his dad for a school project - and he knew then he had found his passion.
​
He enjoys BCC because of the people, culture, and Family. He notes - "When you're here, you're family!" Trevor has been a Northern Michigan native for 31 years. He and his wife, Valerie, reside in Charlevoix with their two beautiful kids Thayer and Eliza. They love going on family adventures the most.

Best piece of advice given: "Don't take time for granted."

KEITH STEVENS | Project Manager
Keith will work closely with homeowners to build relationships and ensure their project comes to fruition by exceeding expectations. “Birchwood is a welcoming family environment with a focus on real values,” Keith says.
Living within the scenic terrain and near the water is what Keith enjoys most about Northern Michigan. Together, he and his wife raise three children in Petoskey and enjoy boating and fishing, as well as playing guitar, riding motorcycles, and antiquing.

Favorite holiday: “Halloween. People can be whoever they want to be for a day. Plus, I love making my yard spooky.”
What does dedication means to him: "Always moving forward in a positive direction regardless of negative impacts."

DAN LABEAU | Superintendent
Dan has been with Birchwood for 12 years. He really enjoys Birchwood because of the people that work here. Dan and his wife reside in Northern Michigan. His favorite part - summer! When he has the chance he's outside enjoying boating and all that Northern Michigan has to offer.

Greatest adventure he's ever taken: "Vacation to Mexico! I truly enjoyed zip-lining, whale watching, and snorkeling."

What inspires Dan? "My kids and granddaughter."

LISA PIKE | Director of Paint
Lisa has the privilege to oversee an amazing and talented group of painters. The paint team really loves what they do, and it shows by the quality of work they produce. Leading the paint team is a familiar area, as her dad owned and operated a painting business in Harbor Springs for 30+ years. She was able to work for him in the summers on some beautiful projects throughout Northern Michigan. He taught her how to work hard and doing things right the first time! Lisa says "The BCC family always has your back. From the front office to the team in the field, everyone is always and willing to help in any way possible."
Lisa is married with 3 kids, two dogs, and resides in Pellston. They are an active family and love any outdoor activities including: Boating, hiking, the beach, playing sports in the yard, and biking. Her kids all play multiple sports so most days and weekends she can be found at a gym or a field.

Greatest adventure she's taken: Hiking and whale watching in Alaska

What inspires Lisa? "My kids! They live life to the fullest without any worry about 'adult' things and I find it to be a breath of fresh air. I try to channel their energy and be more spontaneous and adventurous."

ALEX NOBLE | Money Maestro
Alex oversees the billing, day-to-day accounting procedures, and a sprinkle of party planning. To Alex, BCC is a unique company in that you don’t feel like just another replaceable employee. She truly feels that this company strives to build strong connections with everyone and do what they can to make their employee’s lives better. Alex and her husband, Jesse, reside in Indian River and hang out with their various pets - Maxx, Kona, Andi, Chowder, Tucky, Apricot, and Delaney. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering for equine based programs.

KATELYN HANSEN | Operations Assistant
Katelyn's day-to-day job has many hats that include maintaining subcontractor and vendor relations, organizing processes for our homeowners, assisting with job site permits, helping to plan company events, and more! She enjoys working at Birchwood because they value their employees and hold true to their core values. Katelyn resides in Northern Michigan with her husband Kevin, their 3 dogs, 1 cat, 4 goats, and 20 chickens.

BECKY BABCOCK | Marketing Ninja
Becky's day-to-day includes marketing, advertising, web, social media, event planning, employee communications, and community relations. A graduate of Central Michigan University, Becky joined the Birchwood Family in 2022."I have never met so many incredible men and women who care about one another, Birchwood truly lives to their Family core values." Becky resides in Northern Michigan with her husband Greg and daughter Natalie and enjoys spending time on Burt Lake, and serving her community on the local school board.

JUSTIN THOMPSON | Superintendent
Justin's carpentry career began in high school. He has experience in framing, decking, siding, windows, doors, and intricate finishing details. As Superintendent, Justin now oversees day-to-day operations on the project sites to keep the schedule and quality on track. Justin notes: "I am grateful to those who took the time to teach me my craft over the years and to be part of the Birchwood Family." Justin loves living in Northern Michigan because of his deep family history in the area. He and his wife and daughter live on his ancestors' farm and together they enjoy snowmobiling, taking their dogs for long walks, and the quiet country life.

Favorite pizza toppings: "My daughter and I couldn't agree on pizza toppings so we ordered our favorites one day - pepperoni, mushrooms, pineapple, and ham. You have to try it!"

What inspires Justin: Exceeding homeowners expectations and building cool sh!t!

AMBER MATKOVICH | Director of First Impressions
From the moment you walk through our door or call the office, you'll hear or see Amber's smile as the first one to greet you. Amber’s daily responsibilities include making a great first impression, maintaining the daily office functions, and accounts payable.
A Northern Michigan native, she loves being surrounded by water and friendly people. Amber resides in Cheboygan with her 2 cats. She comes to life in good weather and enjoys kayaking, hiking, swimming, camping, tending to her garden, and being surrounded by friends and family. She is most grateful for life itself!

TODD FORREST | Superintendent
Todd works closely with our Project Managers to coordinate builds on projects. Todd truly enjoys that Birchwood is very family oriented. Residing in Northern Michigan with his wife, they have one daughter, a grandson, and a chocolate lab named Chevy. In his free time, he enjoys boating and camping.

What is Todd most proud of? "The woman his daughter has become and the mother that she is."

JIMMY GAGNON | Superintendent
Jimmy thrives on coordinating the daily tasks of building cool sh*t! Prior to accepting a Superintendent role, Jimmy spent many years in carpentry with particular experience doing finish work. Jimmy resides in Boyne City with his wife Melissa, and daughter Audrey. When not building cool sh*t, he enjoys deer hunting and spending time with his family.

DREW ARCHIBALD | Project Manager
Drew joins the BCC Family with 25 years of residential construction experience.

Married to his wife Jolene, they reside in Topinabee with their three teen kids, an Aussie named Captain and Morgan, their beloved cat.

MIKE MOORE | Facilities Manager
Mike is our Facilities Manager and oversees the BCC grounds, buildings, tools, and overall maintenance for the company.

A history buff who really loves cookouts, motorcycles, and boating, Mike and his wife Janelle live in Petoskey with their doodle and two cats.
​
He is most grateful that both his kids could find jobs in Northern Michigan, so he can spend time with them and his grandchildren.
